GURGAON: Four persons, including a Gurgaon-based couple, have been booked for selling a piece of land without the knowledge of its legal owner, a resident of Bhondsi village. The suspects allegedly used forged documents, including the sale deed.

Rajesh Kumar has lodged a complaint with the Bhondsi police saying that recently, he received information that the piece of land, measuring 4 marla (1 marla = 272.25 sq ft), in Bhondsi village, has been sold to someone else. Since Kumar did not sell the land himself, he approached the district administration and found that in the record, his land was shown as being sold to a couple residing in IFFCO Colony, Sector 17-B.

Later, it was discovered that Ankur Gupta, a resident of Vikaspuri in Delhi and Sunil, a native of Mehandipur village in Sonepat district sold the piece of land with the help of a fake sale deed and other forged documents.

Kumar alleged that the land was sold to Rishi Chauhan and his wife Chanderbala for Rs 85 lakh and the couple was also involved in the fraud.

?We have lodged an FIR against the four,? said a police said.
